Precious hand-loomed eri or peace silk from India, made from hand-spun yarn. This fabric is super soft and finely woven, and drapes beautifully. As the yarn itself is handmade, the fabric has a softer, more organic texture with a more artisanal character. It has a delicate, breathable feel.

Eri silk is made when the moth has been allowed to naturally emerge from the cocoon.

There will be natural slubs and variations in the fabric, which is part of it's inherent charm.

45g per square metre, roughly equivalent to 10/12 momme weight. This silk has been pre-washed and is ready for dyeing.
