Soft carded cocoon stripping waste from the outside of silk cocoons, also known as gummy silk or silk floss. You can make your own silk paper also known as Silk Fusion - no need to use paste, as the natural gum (sericin) is still in the fibres. Dampen it with water using a spray, place within two layers of baking parchment or netting, and iron - it's as simple as that! You can colour with anything suitable for silk, and include items such as leaves, glitters, threads and Angelina fibres. Combine it with creative embroidery in your projects.
